Living the Minimalist Lifestyle – Resources

Minimalist Resources

Living the minimalist lifestyle is not always an easy one. As I learnt about minimalism I found good quality information wasn’t always easy to find.

I thought it would be helpful to create a resource page that you can refer to for all of your minimalist needs. I’ll add to it as I gather more information, but in the future I will reference this page more often. I recommend bookmarking it for your reference and convenience. Enjoy!

Less is more remember.

Books

As well as my own books, the following minimalist books are available.

Minimalist Mum Book

Minimalist Mom Book

Rachel Writes:

Parenting is a demanding job and the first years with a new baby are exciting and ever so tiring. I know, I was recently a new mom myself. I was sleep deprived, overspending and being swallowed alive by closets and counters filled to the brim with baby toys and all the gadgets and gizmos I thought I needed. After a tough first year I realized it didn’t have to be that way.

I could have more space, more time and more money in my wallet. I could be less stressed and I could have all the new baby essentials I needed on a budget.

Third Minimalist Book

Everything That Remains

What if everything you ever wanted isn’t what you actually want?

Twenty-something, suit-clad, and upwardly mobile, Joshua Fields Millburn thought he had everything anyone could ever want. Until he didn’t anymore.

Blindsided by the loss of his mother and his marriage in the same month, Millburn started questioning every aspect of the life he had built for himself. Then, he accidentally discovered a lifestyle known as minimalism…and everything started to change.

There’s a link to the list of lifestyle reading I created a while back. These are still some of my favourite minimalist and lifestyle reading.

Starting a Minimalist Blog

I get asked a lot about how to setup a blog. I use WordPress, as do millions of other bloggers. This isn’t always the best thing to say as people then ask about hosting, themes, plugins and so on. I’ll try to keep this list concise, but as ever, contact me if you need details.

Hosting

I use 1and1 they have one of the largest data centres in Europe. Not the cheapest, but I have all of my websites hosted by them and they have been my only ISP for the last ten years.

Elegant Themes

These guys are a new addition to the blog. I’m using a customised version of the Elegant theme here. Their annual subscription gets you access to every theme they produce, including the Divi theme which I love.
